first sedona, segmented

Sterling silver FP sedona in black steelwood with yellow heart, bloodwood and black steelwood segments, CA finish with three coats of TSW. Not perfect but I am getting better. I was inspired to make this pen by following the work of Fangar, Serge and ctEaglesc. I am in no way close to their work but I aspire to it. thanks for looking, comments good or bad welcome.

I like it as it kinda has a bumblebee look to it.
I think the 2nd pic shows more of the true colors a bit more
Almost didnt't see the bloodwood in the 1st one because of the lights or flash
Do you have a pic of the backside of the pen we could see.

I have to admit that I really do not have the ambition or want to create a segmented pen, they generally do not apeal to me. Having said that I think your segmeneted pen is the first one I have seen in a very long time that really has caught my attention, it looks wonderful! []

You should be really proud of this pen, it has an air of class and distinction.

Here is one on the side. I will learn to mic my bushings and blanks, the fit is a little more proud than I like.
thanks to all for your comments,the first thing I thought was a wasp, then an african mask. the pen looks completely different from a different angle, that is why I placed the clip where I did. I made two cuts at 45deg, glued, kept the same location on my jig, cut the other two sides, glued up,first row all yellow. Then moved the blank down 1/8inch and started alternating colors and ended with a solid row of black. I also learned that even if you don't like wearing latex or nitril gloves, it is a must. Took me two times glueing my fingers to the blank to believe that.
