So before i made this pen i went up to woodcraft in spokane, I didnt even think that the guy that made all those pens for woodcraft new display stuff was in spokane. I got like 100 bucks worth of stuff there and the drill bit for this kit (15/32), super spendy. but it works like magic. So for this pen i used a Jr commish from woodpenpro. I dont really like the plastic threads but, it works. It is afzelia burl(at least i think), It was in a pack of 4 burls from wc and they are all unlabeled, so i kinda guessed on what it was by the color. I turned it with a carbide tipped rougher. finished with 5 coats thin Ca and then mm , hut plastic polish. This is my favorite pen yet that i have made. I am thinking that is the same thing as a jr gent? Does anyone know that, i wanna know if i can use the same bushings from jr commish for jr gent. Thanks for looking, and I hope to start going to the pen turner meeting in spokane.
