First post since last fall

I am back to SD from a winter in AZ. I ordered some acrylic blanks from Scott at Slabs, Blanks, and Boards last winter and finally got to turn a few of them. These are all closed end fountain pens for my fountain pen collector. The blanks were nice to work with.
Any comments and criticism is welcome.

Those are great pens. I really like the custom center band rings. I've started doing some of those too. It really gives the pens that extra custom look.

What style mandrel are you using to do your closed end? Whatever it is, seems to be working beautifully!!! Something about the clean line of these....can't quite put my finger on it, but I like it. And the band change...perfect!





Bob does make some great blanks....proud to have them on the site! I was blown away when the images came in my email the other day. Glad you are sharing them here....



You realize, I am going to have to grab some of these to turn for myself now.....I've been missing out!

Thanks for the compliments, comments and welcome home. I really like the custom center bands. I like to do those when I have an extra half inch of blank or a second blank to work with.
I used the closed end mandrels from AZ Silhouettes. I have had them for a couple years and they work well.
I have attached a couple more pictures that I didn't download yesterday. I shows the last two a little better.
