Here are a couple that I did a few days ago. Only been turning for about two months. The finish still needs a lot of work but I'm reading and learning.

Designer Pen and Pencil set in Zebrawood finished with EEE and Shellawax

May have to try Fangar's CA finish soon.

Comments/suggestions welcome.

Thanks for looking.

Your workmanship and fit look good. I would recommend throwing away the bottle of Crystal Coat, it is basically worthless as a finish-unless you never plan to touch the pen. Deft Spray Lacquer is really very simple to use. You can sand and apply the next coat after 30 minutes. After 4-6 coats, let it cure for a week, then buff or not. Get some micro mesh if you don't already have it. And also try Fangar's CA method, but remember to put on a rubber glove before you apply the first coat of thin with 400 grit paper, or else you will have sandpaper bonded to your fingers. Doin' fine. Finish is the big buggaboo for most of us. The Deft spray suggestion is a good one. Eagle put me on to it and I do believe it will be my mainstay for pens. Try to make your posted pictures a little smaller and lighter in exposure.
