Here is my new personal FP. As I hadn't made a pen in a while I didn't want to get too fancy, but I couldn't help myself a did a few things different than in the past.
First I let the clip ring show - I normally recess them.
Second, I flame polished the cap threads. I have had trouble with the valleys staying full black unless there is a hint of oil still on the threads. When I have cleaned threads with alcohol, they wouldn't look so good (especially for black). A little bit of blow torch seems to have resolved this. I used acrylic for the section as the black alumilite didn't flame polish.
The material came from our local chapter leader. Opposite sides have the coppery shimmer, and the other 2 opposite sides are very dark brown.
