First pen (Walnut/Slimline)

Hi All,

I have been interested in turning pens for the past couple months and have been checking out this forum to educate myself on the topic. I just turned my first pen (Walnut) two weeks ago and look forward to turning many more. Thank you for sharing your knowledge on this message board.

Beautiful job. How in the heck did you find backdrop material almost identical to the pen??

I wouldn't have tried a crosscut/diagonal blank for my first pen ... but I did do a walnut slimline as my very first as well!

Nice job Steven! Welcome to IAP and you are off to a great start. If it was me, I'd apply a few coats of Danish Oil and let it sit. Great pen.
