Well summer is almost finish with Labor day weekend coming up This weekend was the first time I did any turning still my surgery in July. There two antler pens.

My son brought home some antlers from an Native American in upper California. Most likely mule deer. Had no problems with the grip of the tools !!

The picture is really small. But the important part is you are back to turning. Congratulations!:biggrin:

Man.. i personally would have picked a different material to come back with..

Your pens look nice, but that stink when turning is ALMOST unbearable. I woulda picked something tasty... Camphor, BOW... etc. etc. but thats just me :) Glad to see your turning muscles didn't atrophy (sp) too bad!!
