This is the first pen that I have made with a polyester casting that I created. I found it hard to do the casting in the cold weather of Michigan but was able to make it work with an air tight container after it was cast.

I don't mind sharing how I cast this.

I started with two 3oz Dixie Cups half full of resin. I added gold Pearl Ex Powder to one cup and silver Pearl Ex powder to the other and stirred them fully. Then added the hardener.

Once it was all stirred together, I poured both cups together into a corked piece of 3/4" PVC pipe, rotating back and forth as I poured.

Once the pipe was full, I put a piece of 10 gauge wire, that was crimped in and out up the length, into the mold then started to rotate it as I pulled it from the mold.

This was the end result. I got the idea for the wire from a YouTube video I watched.
