Well, this was my first attempt at:
  1. A fountain pen
  2. Turning between centers
  3. Finishing between centers
  4. Applying more coats of CA/BLO than 10
A local woodworker near where I live sent me some goodies in the mail. In exchange I offered to make a pen for him. He had a fountain ben kit that he had bought but hadn't turned it and asked if I would do it. I said yes and he included it in the package.

This is what I came up with. It's made from Lace wood with the wood sanded to 600 grit (reverse and forward), sanding sealer, 15 coats of CA/BLO, sanded with 400-600 grit on the lathe then length wise, MM to 12000 and Novus 2 applied.

Thanks for looking and any comments. I like the way it came out and plan on making one more. Of course the first one always turns out the best.
