First Nouveau Sceptre

Finally had a reason to spend the money to try one of these kits. One of my Inspectors is retiring this Friday after 27 years, so everyone chipped in a little. I was rather pleased with the trustone and how well it turned compared to the piece of dynobone it tried a while back. Think now I might just make one for good ole me.

Gorgeous. I have to work up the nerve to work on a high end kit. I have a fear that I will wreck it, even though I rarely do on the cheaper ones. Those Nouveau kits look beautiful.

Nice choice of a blank in which to dress that pen. I think the nouveau pens and the art deco pens (by David
Broadwell and sold by PSI) lend themselves to being done with acrylics instead of wood. It turned out great...great job.

Don, I will have to agree with you also. Acrylics do these pens justice.

I gave Him the pen this morning, and he had a fit. He has been carrying real Monteblac's for several years and I been telling him I could make pen's that look just as good if not better. Granted Monteblac makes some pretty snazzy stuff, I made a believer out of him as he now wants two more for his wife and son.
