I bought a few blanks from TurnTex "MesquiteMan" at MAPG last year. Been overly busy with other stuff and decided to dig them out. Here is my first one...

Spalted Texas Pecan.

Looking forward to playing with more of these and perhaps picking up a few more this year.

Chris, great job on the pen! That is a nice blank. I didn't see that one at MAPG last year. I need to get into the ones I bought and get turning.

Love the texture on that blank and the fact you left it a bit "natural"! How was your experience turning stabilized wood?

Nice looking pen. Cactus juice is very versatile and you can get lots of effects from it. Great stuff I use it all the time to stabilize and to dye..
