Redwood burl on Titanium FP. I think I may like this kit, but I'm not sure if I like it as much as the Baron. I'll decide after I do a few more. :D This blank was almost as light as Balsa so I threw it in the plexi stabilizer... but it didn't penetrate... AT ALL! :( Had a nice coat of plastic on the outside and virtually no weight gain. Talk about dissapointment. All the other blanks came out fine (according to their weight). BLO/CA finish only because I had to use so much CA on it while turning. It's really nice looking wood, but I'm glad this was my only blank. Apparently not a good turning weekend for me. [B)]

Thanks for looking and feel free to say what comes to mind. ;)

Thanks again, and Wayne, but it does doesn't it. The stripes were actually caused from what I would have referred to as birdseye, but I've never seen them run through the blank that way.
