I was surprised how easy it to turn especially how easy it was to finish. The first picture proves why you really need to make certain the tubes are clean before assembling the pen.

Hey!.....I have not seen one shaped quite like that in some time now.

I LIKE it. I'm going to steal that shape for my next slimline..........I'm always looking for ways to give pens a little more "meat" to them without making them seem too bulbous or unwieldy.

Yours works well. I like the understated way you made the cuts near the nib, and the middle looks good too.

Too bad about the cracking. Bummer.

Hey the kid's stealing my tricks now, don't encourage him. :mad: it's too bad he cracked it, but it's a lesson learned, I thought he was doing a great job until that happened. This is like his third or fourth pen, but he's been turning a bunch of the secret compartment key rings, I think he might get the hang of it. I don't do slim lines so it's an inventory item he can handle, and since he's going to set up with me at a couple of local shows it'll give him something to make a few bucks with.
