I made this one to try my hand at adding a clip for the first time.
I used a Jowo #5 and Schmidt converter. The two main silver bands on the cap are made from 1mm x 2mm sterling silver flat stock and the narrow band above the clip from a 24 gauge sterling silver 3/4" washer.
The blank was a Freebies from exotic blanks and was a joy to work with.

Adding the clip went very well. I cut a groove in the top of the cap to fit and then secured it with a threaded finial which also clamped the washer in place. The only real problem during construction was that I cut the groove to take the clip and then turned the finial shape but when I went back to fit the clip it had become too snug.

I think next time I will fit the clip after turning the outside not before and it also would have been smart to check the fit one last time before applying the epoxy for final assembly and doing it under pressure. That 5 minutes is forever when you are waiting for it to dry but no time at all when you screw up!!
