First Gator

Here is the first gator blank I have turned . The gator jaw bone smells worse than antler - but I like the results! C&C WELCOME!

Very nice. Very clean finish. I've made 2 so far. One that was pre-casted, and one that I filled with brass shavings. It does smell pretty bad. When I'm about to make a bunch of antler pens or another gator pen, I always plan on haveing a cigar burning to mask some of that smell.

Thanks for the comments - I will be making more of these! I don't smoke so cigars are our maybe a steam pot with coffee beans !
