First Desk Set

I finally finished this desk set. I also tried to see if I could get a good photo instead of scanning the items. Luckly, I'm good with Corel Paint Shop Pro X. Thanks.

They are gorgous. What's the wood, it looks familar but I can't place the name. Where did you get your hardware?

Nice set! Nice woods and a great combination. I've yet to do a letter opener, but I've got the tubes glued up in the garage just waiting for me to do a set.

Oh, sorry I forgot to mention the wood. It's Ambrosia Maple Burl. And the kits are the designer series from PSI. What I did was order a starter kit that included this set in brushed silver, one in 10k gold and pen only in their premium finish. Also included drill bits and bushings. The maple came from a slab that I dug out of my wifes dads well house when we moved him to a retirement home. Her brother was making a table out of it about 30 years ago and gave up. The laquer yellowed on it so I cut it into bowl and pen blanks.
