Hi all, this is my first attempt at Pen Turning. Not wishing to enter into things lightly, I have now produced about 60 to 70 pens and attended a couple of shows. To my joy, things have started selling straight away. I would however appreciate any constructive comments regarding these pens - hence the range. JABBA

That looks like a nice group of pens. I don't really see anything that I can offer any constructive critiism on, but maybe some of the more vetern penturners will have some better insight.

It looks like the upper barrel on the cigars are a bit proud to me. They are already a hefty pen without extra weight up top. On the other side of it of they are selling your customers must like em. Finish looks fine to me(what are you using).

Good looking fist set of pens. I wish mine looked that good. Be proud cause you're the man. Everyone has their own idea of what looks good. I think yours look great.

Thank you for that, I will look at them again. In relation to the finish, I haven't got round to buying a specialist finish for acrylic pens etc, so at the moment I'm using SPEEDANEEZ Friction Polish by Record Power. This seems to work quite well on everything. Occasionally, I have used blue wax buffing block normally intended for use with metal. Applied directly to the spinning pen and then buffed off with kitchen paper provides a great finish also.
