First Closed Ends

These are my first attempts at a closed end pen.
All Baron kits

Laburnum Wood

Spalted Sycamore

Berea AA #36 Electric Green, should have tried blackening the tubes a bit for this one[xx(]

Excellently done. Something about the sycamore leaves me cold. Maybe just too straight and plain. My personal taste says gold would compliment them all better.

Nicely done. I've never seen Laburnum wood, but it looks interesting. What finish did you use on the wood?

I like the looks of the sycamore and suspect it would look even better in hand. Just goes to show ya how personal tastes differ, eh?

The finish on the wood pens is 3 coats of Chestnut friction polish
