First Cigar

Black Ash blank with some burl. Blank was a freebie in a recent trade.

This beautiful piece of wood was nearly ruined by this rookie.

I used a friction polish finish. I prefer the feel of FP and I planned to use this one myself.

The chatter marks close to the nib came out fairly evenly spaced. After sanding and finishing the look and feel intentional.

Sometime I would rather be lucky than good.[]
