I finally had a chance to try my hand at a Celtic knot, and now two months later I finished it! It normally wouldn't take this long, but the wheels on my bandsaw platform broke off as I was moving it and it fell over onto a pile of junk... Took a couple weeks to get the time to retune it.

Anyways, this is from a diamondcast blank with diamondcast knot. The colors ended up a little more similar than I wanted, so the knot is more subtle, but I still like it.

Thanks for looking!

Congrats on the knot. I agree it's a bit subtle, but the skill-set is there and now it's on to more.

Even with the combination here, a contrasting veneer or aluminum would have made the knot pop quite a bit.

Very nice.

Very nice. I have done a few Celtic knots but never with acrylic. I've only used wood. Have to give it a try with acrylic now.

Thanks. It was pretty straightforward, though I didn't sand the surfaces before gluing in the segments, so I had a couple small voids to fill as I turned it.
