Wanted to try a Celtic knot for a while and had some scrap maple and walnut lying around. Only gold sierra kit I had was a stylus so that's what I used. I was too impatient and wanted to see what it looked like after the first 2 cuts so next time I'll have to try the 4 cut knot and see how that goes, thanks for looking.

Excellent Pen, Bill.
It is a shame that you were so impatient, that you couldn't get to make it 4 inserts. When you look at what you had done, to make it 4 would have changed it from Excellent to Magnificent.
I love your Timber Choices.
Your Fit and Finish is Superb.
Now that you have been bitten by the Dreaded Celtic Bug.
You are probably already considering making another.
Why not try the cuts at 60deg, which will make the cross quite a bit longer?
Also inlay some Brass Shim Stock of 0.025" or 0.030" on both sides of the Insert, for a Gold Pen, or Aluminium flashing for Silver or Chrome?
I look forward to your next Posting.
Brian.

Thanks for the kind comments. I forgot to add that the finish I used for the pen is based on the "dipping method" used by Les Elm, which uses a water based polyurethane. For those that are "CA challenged" or don't like the look of "plastic", I recommend this type of finish, thanks again,
