First cartridge pen!

I have been wanting to try one of these, so when my cartridges came today in the mail from Gary I couldn't resist!!!
Let me know what y'all think. Exspecially about the band I used in the first pic. Band or no band?
By the way, the band is gaboon ebony and the upper barrel is axis antler.

My only criteque (sp?) would be to try and bend the clip a little.

The clip seems to be slightly distorted. Maybe it is just the photo.

Thanks, you guys are right about the clip. I'm going to try to bend it a little with the contour of the barrel. The good thing is that it really isn't noticeable unless your looking for it at this angle.

Much better with the clip formed the way it is in the second picture. I love the centerband. I've looked at a lot of cartridge pens and very few that I really like. I really like this one.

Micah, I like it better w/o the CB. It just looks out of place to me. Maybe if it was a bit thinner, it might work better.

Great looking pens; I'd go w/o the CB unless it was narrower and appeared seamless with the antler.
It's not bad at all, yet I think you can improve its appearance a little.

I think that personally I like the band, but I tend to agree with Billy and Gary about the center band needs to be more formed with the barrel instead of a seperate piece. On my next one I think I will try turning the band with the barrel.
