Attempting a CA finish for the first time. It is a Walk Street II kit. I believe the wood is red oak, I'm no expert though. I cut the blank from a handrail section I bought years ago for a cigar box guitar project. I am pretty happy with the result. I learned a lot in the process. Some minor mistakes during the application and polishing that I'll nail next time. Advice welcome.

It was 8 costs of medium (all I had on me) over a blank that had been sanded to 600 grit. I then used micro mesh wet from 1500-12000, using every other one. (5 steps basically).

Congratulations on your first CA finish. If you would help us old guys with failing eye sight. Use a non reflective back drop. Like a plain white sheet of paper. We could get a better look at the pen. Thanks for sharing with us.
