Americana kit, Bocote wood , CA finish.

This is the first Bocote pen I've turned and I'm happy with the results, my finishing is getting better. I hope to start turning higher end pens soon but I'll be patient sure can't afford to mess up a 50.00 kit.

Thanks for looking,
Brian

Brian, those are lot harder to turn than the 50.00 kits, you did a good job, finish is pretty nice I didn't see any swirl lines in it, wait for Skye, He'll set you straight on the finish, any time you order a high dollar kit, order extra tubes, that way all you will loose is a blank and a bucks worth of tubes.

I think you did a nice job. Since you can do justice to the Americana, don't be afraid of the high end. The blanks can be always replaced before assembly. IMHO, if you're gonna do an Americana, you might as well do Nav, Sedona or Barons. (But my first FP was an Americana.) Just take the leap.
