First Attempts

Thanks to everyone here and at Penturner's Paradise, the information available let me turn with confidence.

This is my first pen, a Sierra with a piece of birds eye maple, finished with BLO/CA

The second is a Cigar in Satin Nickel, the blank is a #31 from Penblanks.ca, requested a few weeks ago by my daughter when I told her I was going to try turning, she is pleased with the result.

The last one is a Sierra pencil kit with moose antler, drilling was the worst part (smells terrible). Finished with a few coats of BLO/CA and a coat of wax.

Those look great. Some ambitious materials to try for your first few pens, but it looks like you did very well with them.

Are you kidding me, these are your first attempts. Mine stunk, kinda like the smell of moose antler. Very nice work.
