That's my first attemp to these kind of pen. Really happy of the result!!

Amazonia wood. Freaking hard to work with. My chisel became really hot and smoke appeared...

Yikes! I would guess you backed off and let your blank cool down? :) It is interesting how various materials can be so different for turning. I also love that aspect because every turning experience is unique! :)
