My first Atlas...a pretty simple kit. I have some Antler that will fit this kit nicely. Still a strugle to get the lighting right.

Oscar, it's the knurled cap that turns most folks away from it I'd guess. It has the form and fit of a good lady's pen, but that knurled cap just makes it look very mechanical. If they went with something a bit more subtle I bet it would be a better mover.


And BTW, that IS a nice pen! I just made my first Atlas recently (I tended to stay away from it basically due to that big knurled cap, it just looks out of place on the pen, but I did one anyway, and they are nice but that one feature).

Good Job Bernie, that is really a beautiful wood! I turned a few Atlases in the past and I got to admit, the knurled cap is a turn off for me too, especially in gold. Looks cheap to me.
