Still need to work on it, but regardless, I like it. Lots more work than wood or PR, that's for sure.

Top notch job. What makes this harder to turn. Just the hardness of the material? Is it grabby on the tool? I have not tried one...yet.

Aluminum is MUCH harder than wood or plastic. Tiny shavings and frequent sharpenings mean it took a loooong time. I have carbide metal lathe bits but they didn't do much better than my old carbon steel gouge.

The next one should be faster now that I've got the technique down. A little different than wood, that's for sure.
