I made these 2 Euro Pens as a gift for my wife to give to a friend and her boss at work. The colors of their library are gold and green so they fit perfectly. I have to say I like turning the acrylics a lot so far, the only thing I ran into and maybe someone can give me an idea, the easiest way to measure the offset for the decorative bushing in the middle after you have turned it down to it's outside diameter. I ended up taking it off the mandrel and measuring it and then cutting it down.

Anyways look forward to your comments!

I used to do the same thing you said for the tenon (take off the mandrel, measure, etc). I finally decided to just guess, but guess on the low side. It doesn't hurt if it is a little short, the ring still stays on.

This may not be the "proper" method, but it works for me!

By the way, nice job for your first acrylics...mine didn't look near that good!
