Well, I turned my first acrylic blank yesterday (actually "celluloid", I guess). Used a PSI Slimline kit. I was pretty happy and more than a bit surprised with how it came out. Wet sanded thru 12000 MM, then used Hut Ultra Gloss.
Comments welcome.

Got the same blank. I am amazed that I haven't sold it yet! It is the one that seems to get the most positive comments. Especially by the women! Your's is beautiful!! Kirk[8D]

Pretty cool color combination. Looks like it shined up pretty well. How did you like the HUT Ultra Gloss? I'm thinking of ordering some myself. I like the shape you put on the barrels also - nice, rounded, should feel good in hand when writing. Nice job.

Thanks for the kind words folks, and yes, it is "funny" to work with after turning wood, but I kind of like it. Nice and smooth, with no grain-change surprises.
As far as the shape goes, that's the way I turn 90% of my Slimlines. Seems to be a very comfortable grip shape for most hands and sells pretty well.
