While at Rockler the other day, I decided to grab a few pen kits to play with and to start taking baby steps away from slimlines... Man o man - I may run the heck away from slims as fast as I can after turning my first 2 Sierras! They were a pleasure to turn and finished easily as compared to slims. Used Jobillo with a CA finish.

I also picked up a few Euro kits, I guess those are next...

Good job, I like this type of pen. It shows the wood without a center band to interfer with the grain. Slimlines are OK, but there is so much more out there.

I have never made a slimline pen. I have done several Euros. I prefer gel refills and you can't get them in a Cross refill. I started with Carbara and Sierra kits. I might try a slimline over the holidays but I like the appearance of B2B pens so it would be a slim slim.
