Firewood Fountain pen

I found this piece of wood in a friends pile of firewood a few month back, I cut it up this morning and it looked interesting. I decided to put it on a Pristina kit fountain pen. I have no idea what the wood is!

What a great find! The wood has some very nice spalting which makes your pen looks great and the finish is beautiful as well and matches the kit. Great fit and finish. Well done!

It look a lot like some spalted hickory I got from a friend.
