Here is my first Fireman's Ballpoint Pen I turned.

This is not a carry pen because the clip sticks out too far and can easily hang on something. Also, it's way to top heavy to carry in your pocket. It would be better served as a display or desk pen.

Anyway, on this pen I used part of a 100 year old hickory ladder rung from the San Francisco Fire Department. I turned the wood, used amber water based stain for color, and used a burned stick to age it.

I 'm going to guess you push down on the back of the ax to protrude the ink and then push down the front of the ax to retract????:confused:
