My son-in-law is a Fire Fighter serving our great country in the U.S. Air Force. He's currently stationed in Honolulu and he asked me to make a special pen for his chief that is retiring. I used a 19 piece laser cut inlay kit sourced from Exotics. This was my first laser inlay kit. It was a chore to glue up, but I'm very happy with the results after turning and CA finish.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. It was nerve racking to turn this blank, but fresh carbide tools made quick work of it. I'll be doing more inlays now that I survived this one!
