Finishing with Solarez

Click pen with Thuya Burl Blank from Berea Hard Woods. I have gotten several of these blanks and they all have been VERY nice. I have been carrying another Solarez finished pen for some time. This will be my new carry pen.

I have been using Solarez for about 6 months now. It has been a learning experience and I believe it may be my new go to finish – still open for a change of mind. This pen was finished using the five minute Solarez and polished using Meguiars #1, #2 and finished with the #82 Swirl Free Polish. I have been using Meguiars on my pre-cat lacquer and CA finishes for about 5 years.

Beautiful work it is stunning, thuya burr is one of my all time favourite woods and that kit looks pretty good too.
