Spent the evening finishing, here is my accomplishment. Wood is pecan hickory, I don't see others using it much, but I like the grain pattern and subtle color variation. Also, being the state tree of Texas they should make good gifts around here.
Here is the process that I used for the finish:
Sanded to 600
Cleaned with DNA
2 coats of thin CA (dribble method)
1 coat of medium CA (dribble method)
2 coats medium CA (applied to paper towel first)
Sanded 400 and 600
Micromesh (wet, all 9)
