Been busier than a one armed paper hanger lately[^], but did find some time the last couple of weeks to butcher some might pretty wood. Here's three Barons I did:D. The first is Big leaf maple burl. I didn't make it this week, but I did take it apart and refinish it! The middle one is a Double Dyed box elder Burl From BB. Wasn't too happy with the dye penetration[V] but then again you never know what your getting. Still a pretty pen! Third one is a piece of the Live Oak that I got from Dario...beautiful wood[:p]!

Nice fit and finish but I agree on the middle one[xx(]. I have had several that way with figured maple. I never bothered to finish the pen I was so disgusted with the penetration. Oh well, what's 5 bucks...right.[B)]
