Finally got back into the shop yesterday

This past semester has been crazy with work and school, so it's been a while since I turned anything. Spent most of the afternoon cleaning the cobwebs out of the shop, but I did have enough time to turn a quick pen...

It's a piece of dyed box elder on a chrome Designer kit from PSI. Finish is just a friction polish...still haven't gotten the hang of CA yet.

The kit does look copper-y in the photo...that's just my white balance being crazy off. It's chrome, I promise!

As for the pen stand, I haven't found a good way to post a capless pen on its own yet, so I try new things all the time. I figured the ring box would hold it nicely, haha!
