i received an order from a lady in Connecticut in late October. She wanted pens made for members of her family from some wood taken from a house that has been in the family for a long time.
She also wanted the pens to match the wood as installed, not natural wood so i hade to come up with a stain to match what was there. Finally got them complete yesterday and shipped to her. Take a look at the pics enclosed and let me know how i did. i think they turned out pretty well.
Comments and criticism encouraged.

it is actually a laser engraving, filled with some special substance the engraver has, then covered with a final heavy coat of CA and polished with MM, and polish, etc. i actually have to finish the pen twice. I finish with ca polished about .008-.012 undersized, engrave and fill, then refinish to size and polish. if i try to have engraved on bare wood the fill will sometimes bleed into the surface.
