About the coral...it looks good but are you not scared that it may damage your finish? I don't think I can do that...you are much braver than I. []

Nice looking pens, Bill! I guess I'm going to have to order some of those blasted kits now that I've sen so many of them and finally got my "B" mandrel. [] LOML is going to kill me. BTW, I've never heard of that last wood type, but I like it.[}][]

Hard to tell but that last pen might be Brazilian Cherry. I have some blanks that are very similar in grain and color. (From what I can tell of color!)

Tip,
Good guess, but his first pic is Brazilian Cherry (aka Jatoba) and they do look somewhat alike. African Cherry (Makore') looks reddish like that. It is tough on the tools though. Neither are a true cherry (prunus). It almost looks like bloodwood.
