Filigree and a Vertex

Heres a few from the weekend, The wood on the filigree looked more interesting, but then when i turned it it started to look a bit bland, likewise on the desert ironwood sierra, thought i would be filling cracks with brass dust on that one. As usual comments/critique welcome.
ps, anyone know what wood is on the filigree???
