All are Elegant Beauty Sierra's from Berea.

My first attempt at making a segmented wood/Alumilite hybrid blank.

This one is dressed in stabilized California Buckeye Burl.

'Ice Age Mosaic' --- Wooly Mammoth Ivory pieces cast in black dyed alumilite.

This one was a bit tricky to turn but I was happy enough with how it looks on this kit to cast a few more blanks.

Getting a little better at the photography thing but still have a ways to go.

Thanks for looking...... comments welcome and appreciated.

Nice pens, don't be afraid to flare them out a little in the centre. It'll flow with the curve on the hardware

Showing my age but you remind me of Frank Sinatra the difference being your humility when you said a few and a couple of firsts. These pens all are outstanding pictured well and controlled in the bush to bush turning in which effort you maintained that difficult line finishing cleanly at either ends. Great variety and imagination.

Individually outstanding, classy and by you understated. Bravo.

Thanks for the comments.

The segmenting design is not my own. Similar blanks can be purchased here in the classifieds. For me, the challenge was in the engineering and execution.

Peter, thanks for the rave review but c'mon....... Sinatra? The only legitimate comparison there is probably the fact that I can't get a gaming license either.

Chief Hill...... Windsor, eh? I grew up in the Detroit area. So.... are you allowed to cheer on the Wings or is there some sort of law that you have to support a Canadian team? Nice website, by the way. Does it generate much business for you?
