I took a break from kitchen floor tiling (grout tomorrow :() and spent a few hours in the shop. Amboyna, Afzilia, teal/violet BEB, and one that I'm keeping...spalted English beech. That one is special. :D

Thanks for the comments. Lately I've been 'wet sanding' with CA and 300G, then going through the MicroMesh grits, finish with Deft spray and HUT stick. Unlike other folks, I think it's easier to 'work' the lacquer before it's completely 'cured'...so after letting the last coat sit for 10 or 15 minutes, I use steel wool with the grain before the HUT.
