Here are a few results. Mix of Majestic Jr, and Graduate. Some are Rhino blanks, beautiful iridescence in those; Spalted Tiger Maple; and African Blackwood.

Other picture, wonderful black and gold veined, came out absolutely perfect, that will probably be taken by my wife...

(not shown, a couple pens that decided they wanted to shatter on the lathe, good thing for safety gear!) :befuddled:

Enjoy, its a wonderful long weekend!

Excellent Pens Jim.
Stunning Blanks, Beautifully Turned, Fitted and Finished.
You mentioned that you had a couple of Blanks Shatter. That of course should not happen.
There are many causes, the major one is technique, and the use and Sharpness of your Tools.
The Next is your Bonding Technique with regard to the Fit and Adhesion of the Tube to the Blank.
If you would like to give a brief run down on what you do, then we might be able to save you a Peck of Money, Time and Frustration.
Also there is a wealth of information in the Library, I recommend that you take a few minutes, or more likely hours and have a look.
Regards,
Brian.
