I finished a few new Corn Cob pens over the weekend

A Euro pen with the cob dyed red

SEE ? There it is again ! The color on MY corncobs was almost completely gone when I put the finish on them . Yours are VERY NICE Don . Did you dye them yourself ? And When ? These are very well made . Thanks for sharing !

I dyed them myself. I put some dye on when I am prepping the blanks mostly to get color on the ends of the blanks. I turn the pen down to the shape I want then give it a wash with some more dye. Then I soak it with thin CA glue and sand to 400 grit then switch to MM and go to 12000.
