Here's a few different burled I did recently and just getting the chance to post.

First is a Jr. Statesman Buckeye Burl (a piece left over from one of my classified adds). CA finish wet micro meshed, buffed and polished.

Second is a Jr. Statesman with some beautifully colored Tulipwood with CA finish.

Third is an Imperial with Masure Birch Burl dyed burgundy and stabilized. I love this stuff, no eyes but great cracked glass looking figure. CA finish.

Fourth is an Imperial with Amboyna Burl, my favorite burl wood  Beautiful tight eyes all around and wonderful color. CA finish

Fifth is an Emperor with Amboyna Burl (what else) and a CA finish.

Hope you enjoy, Keith "mrburls"

I am still having a hard time thinking the second one is Tulipwood. It does not have enough red and yellow. What ever it MIGHT be is really nice. I would prefer it.

Excellent kit choices for the blanks! I'm really digging the Masur Birch and Amboyna pens the most.

Very well done!

I had some of this burl up for sale and no one bought any. Guess they didn't know how it would turn out:rolleyes: So I made one this past week to show off.

Yes this is Tulipwood, very nice grade of Tulipwood with light and dark pink shades. Little to no white wood in blanks at all. I have another big blank of this stuff I hate to cut up for blanks. It's 3" square by about 3 feet long. Thought it would be good for pepper mills.

Keith, as usual they live up to your "MrBurls" name. I like them all.
Wish I could finish them as well as you do.
I think I am going to have to do more in burl woods.
Thanks for showing.

They are all fantastic! If I had to pick just one, I believe I would pick the buckeye burl - but just barely over the amboyna burls.
