Thank you Ed Davidson (Yo-Yo spin) for this rocket-style inspired design. This particular design is for a commissioned pen for one of my customers (an Art Director) here in Toronto. She picked the blank since it displays nine(9) different species of wood. Like me, she's a 'wood lover'. The base is walnut and was purposely chosen to 'tone' down on the busy swirly feather design on top. Using the same material for top and bottom would have been 'too much'.

The customer has not seen the finished design since it is destined to be a Mother's Day gift from her very generous life partner. Here's hoping that they will enjoy this new creation.

Wow.... ummm... wow!!! Can't really think of anything else to say except... wow! I love it- very unique design, unique shape, nice choices of wood to put together, and very nice base. I'm sure she'll love it!
