Exutive Sierra dress in Flame Box-Elder

Here is a Executive Sierra from Timberbits. The blank is Stabilized Flame Box-Elder I ordered from Woodturningz. I bought the blanks to make pen's for my brothers, we had a Flame Box-Elder tree in out back yard when we were growing up. Of the 4 blanks I was able to get 5 blanks with nice grain. This one is one that is the least best of the lot. I sanded this and all the blanks to 12000 mm and finished with 12 coats of WTF. I still need to order the Elegant Sierra Kits from Exotic Blanks. I am glad that you told me that it was Flame Box Elder, I would have been completely baffled.
Regardless, It is an Excellent Blank, in it's own right.
Your Fit and Finish has produced a Superb Pen.

Thanks for all the great comments. The blank for this pen was turned a while ago, I just decided to use it with one of my sierra kits. I can show the other Flame Box-Elder blanks I turned until get all the pen put together.
