I wish I could remember who sent this to me...kudo's to whoever that was. In the future I'm going to be sure and mark my blanks to their origin. Said on blank, experimental cactus, brittle, turn with sharp tools. No doubt..couldn't have been 10 seconds in and a chunk blew across the room. Fortunately the blowout was just a gnats hair under the diameter of the bushing and not all the way down to the tube, so I just glued a bunch of the turning particles into the spot, let it dry and carried on with extra caution and lots of worried expression. You can't find the repair. :):)

Jeff, great pen, nice job with that blank, I am glad I mentioned how brittle it was. That blank is "almost dyed green cactus" and white alumilite. That blanks was from "try #1", try #3 got rid of the brittleness and are turning fine for me now.
