Beautiful colors, pleasing to the eye! The cast with the copper in it just draws me in. Or is that cast? Can't tell. Looks like a clear casting over copper.

Lee, it's a section of a blank called Antique Gold. Lengthwise on 2 sides it shows layers you can see through and the other two loo like a normal swirl blank, I turned it sideways so you could see through the layers, the glow is the unpainted tube. The copper is the separators between segments.

Great job Carl. I would have preferred similar sized segments (width, i.e., 2 top 2 bottom) in the top and lower barrels - equally spaced from the ends, but from what I see the segments look awesome in their color - well done!

And yes, as an "experiment." I believe it went very, very well, as it doesn't come off as an experiment.

Very nice.

Thanks, Mark. Trying to think outside the box on the fly. I dont usually plan anything, I just start cutting etc but I do tend to refine down the road.
